NEXT SEMESTER !! This semester's Thanksgiving Break, FINALS !!, Christmas Break, Spring Break

Why am I starting with Next Semester when this semester isn't over with yet? Because IT IS TIME !! Time to sign up for next semester. In order to sign up there are 3 requirements:

1. You must meet the previous semester's DJ requirements (2.5 Cum GPA or better, at least 2 ACE or 3 credit hours signed for). If you are taking more than 18 hours, think really hard about heading in the direction of an evening show or Saturday show - just so we can keep you from exploding!

2. You must have your Spring 2004 Class Schedule printed and with you

3. You will drop by C109 (Dan's office area) to sign up, PD/MD do not sign up INCUMBENT DJs for following 2nd semesters, all NEW DJs must meet first IN PERSON with Ken Gallivan, and then IN PERSON Dan Prowse in their respective offices in order to interview (easy) and signup (much more difficult). New DJs must bring their class schedules to Dan Prowse (Ken won't need them). Ken will have the up-to-the-minute signed up and asked for times with him - a copy of which he will HAND you to take with you to Dan's office. I( wasn't kidding when I said this part was complicated.

As far as CURRENT Fall 2003 DJs (LIVE in CLC Studios) are concerned for holding shows during their regular weekly times for these school breaks, I am pretty sure that Felicia will be saying no, but you know me - that won't stop me from at least asking!

I am pretty sure that, as long as CLC Staff is in the building during most breaks, that DJS will be able to do their shows, but we will want to look at a sub-schedule - in other words, a special break schedule of 3 hour shifts from 8am to 5pm Monday thru Thursday ONLY. At least this semester we should be able to accomplish this. This would mean for break schedules, 12 shifts will be available. Be on lookout for these signups. None signed will be guaranteed the time, but you may elect to alternate 3 hour shifts (1st choice, 2nd choice, 3rd choice - get it?)

CURRENT DJs ONLY:

IF FOR FINALS, you are actually FINISHED with your LAST final exam, you can have your show during the regular week scheduled time, but you would not be broadcasting in Lancers Cafe you would still be Internet-casting , however.

Songs in - Jesse Lynn still helping !

In late news today, the garbage will be picked up Friday tomorrow, while final details of the Strike is imminent.

Jesse Lynn, our old Music Director, stopped by yesterday to help us with transitioning Todd Mendoza, our new Music Director (himself charting Top 200, Jesse studying our lists to see if we are eligible to chart AAA !!).

New stuff in today:

North by Something Corporate
and
12 Memories by Travis

BMI is asking now for Composers of songs as well as the usual stuff for the required reporting days. Ugh! OtsJuke doesn't allow for the Composer field, although MP3 Tags do....hmm.

Yesterday, I installed 246 songs of new, into the clcmusicsys !

We will be providing audio technical support for the Program Boards Corn Shucking Day on Oct. 29th !

Basketball season fast approaching (for us, anyway) so all DJs and Chronicle Sports Editors/reporters are invited to help with Equipment Setups (Turntables and CD Players / Mixers provided for the DJs, Headphones, Mixer, Microphones and Laptop for SoundFX provided for the PlayByPlay and Color Announcers).
Why? Because we will be streaming the B-Ball games LIVE on our Live365 LoBand Stream. A simple video setup to be broadcast on the S.I.S. TVs throughout the Campus public areas, will be available during game time ! If the tech side is handled properly and promptly, we will be able to double the broadcast on CLCRADIO's new DJ-CAM (Webcam) System as well!

Pretty boring, eh?

From the CLCRADIO NEWS DESKTOP, nothing different in the news from us regarding Woodland Schools. For up-to- date details from one side of the issue is:

ERROR IN AUDIO BLOG

I made a mistake in the audio message (below).

ALL DJs must re-print a copy of their CLC class schedules and bring them to Roz Beitzel in Student Activities Office, at her office in the back (next to the Student ID Picture office) of the area. If Roz is not available, you may put the schedules in her Mail Box back up to the Front of the Student Activities Office front door where you would normally walk in to Student Activites at room number C101.

This must be done NO LATER THAN 4:00pm THURSDAY, October 9th. If you do not do this, your show will be suspended Starting OPctober 10th and beyond until you either:

A. accomplish the task of printing your schedule and handing it to Roz
or
B. give up ALL of your shows to other DJs waiting for time slots.

There are currently 14 DJs waiting.

Schedules must be in ASAP. Please do this.

Dammit !

I am such a big baby, now, but I single-handedly moved all the CRAP out of the MD's desk (Jesse...) moved the computer (without ever stopping the stream!). Kinda ' reminds me of the time we had new carpet......ahh! But, I digress...

Emergency!

I have added the AudioBlogger portion of the website today (just below, check it!).

Ed of 2nd shift Maint. helped our little ststion today with a desk drawer - EMPTY ! Ah ha, just as I had suspected. Which means that Marcus, that book you were looking for isn't actually in the station anymore.

Did I mention that no CDs came today?

Dissemination of drugs !

I had to break into my stash of Motrin for Amanda - she took one.
I am always glad to help the Student Government Association in reaching their goals in relative peace.

No CDs came in today.

Adding last weeks arrivals...

The Kills 3 song single disc - Maybe they can cover for the Stripes' cancelled gigs?

Paint it Black's "CVA" - Well, it arrived - not going on since we have been sent (and McGathy, true to form, once again sends us the non-radio edit...) We can't air it - we can only give it away during CLC's WELCOME WEEK !!! Be there if you want the Uncut, Uncensored CDs we can't keep !!!

Just to set it straight, though, we don't mind recieving Exlicit CDs, its just that they are RARELY marked with the Advisory Label - and they should be marked. Ouch, I just stubbed my toe on the soapbox...

leaves is in.

Roscoe's CLEAN and KARAOKE "Smooth Sialin'" is in. from Young Roscoe Philiphornia

Garrison - the silhouette SITER record to "The Model" CDEP (BTW, spelled 'silhoutte' on inside jacket !! a collectors item). Don't let the 6 tracks foolya, that usually happens with a CD like this - all the tracks are seemlessly blended into one HUGE TRACK ! Good, though, lovely sound from the boys. But, there are really only 5 tracks.

The Wolf ! The ANDREW W.K. in stores 9-9-2003 but we HAVE the ADVANCE 3 song thing in the computerised sang system NOW!
The song 2 "Your Rules" is the perfect Suburban Anthem for you rascally kids that would BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF YOUR HUMAN BROTHER just because he won't wear the clothes of the day. What is going on, kids? Play nice!

Live Love Handles is in

All of The Dandy Worhols Monkey House is in.

DJ Dan LaBuda has been a DJ at CLC RADIO for 2 years running and there's just no stoppin' 'im. He has single handedly brought us Jawai'in music at its most earliest. We seem to get those CDs before the Hawai'in airwaves hit the Pauly Shores of California. And I think I should start writing hip and glib blurbs. Huh?
FROM State #50 (remember, Aleyska is #49) we have:

NINA (Nina Keali'iwahamana) and
Kohala and their Cool Breeze (jazz)

Tomorrow, then, we'll have 2 left from last week and tommorrow's lot to fill up on.

This day has brought many things. Memories - fond - of CLC's greatest comedy yet produced, "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum", and I was once again on percussion in the pit. What fun was had by all.
Good audiences and a bit above average audience size was realised. Forgive o' the way I speak you, I have been reading of the Shakespeare of late.

I am now opening the day's CDs to find....mosquitos - a trio...Josh Rouse's CD with limited ed. DVD included...ten benson with their Benson Burner CD along with the JetSet Records mailer came 16 Horsepower CD...Mandoo Diao's bring 'em in CD...and finally, from AltDiv records we have the Poulain EP and the FULL GODHEAD evolver CD !!

We will systemize these ASAP.
That's all for now.

Okay! It's all in now. mosquitos are brazil/pop - good. Cute, even.
16 Horespower...('sounds like Jim Morrison is inside of him)...sounds like old cowboy songs made more folk-rock. Reminds me a bit of Six-String Samuari but goyem and un-plugged.

Hold on, gotta go help Ed clean up on aisle 5 and move some Moto-Carts (cieling tile exploded).
Done.

Mando Diao - they wanna be the Kinks sooooo bad! Track 5 - the band, is very good and will probably be played to death on BIG radio. Track 8 - PUSA - like the Hofner Bass, baby! But, we're not gonna play it 'cause the MUTE record Morons forgot to send us the RADIO CLEAN EDIT VERSION.

Godhead CD has a secret hidden track, very secret, after the 12th track is over....ooh!

And I am going to just wait for the FULL Poulain CD instead due July 29th.

Scathing, isn't it?

Friday, July 25, 2003

We just got the preview CD of Bjork's Live Box Set in along with Thursday's SP preview and it came with a D V D !!!
We'll post the DVD in the Video section of the webpage ASAP - as soon as FP 2002 extensions are assigned to our WebHost.
This is the big test and I am the guinnea-pig to first try this.
This is my first musing (very amusing!)

This area is currently a publicly viewable area.

I have also made a private area for just us in the StuAct meetings.
